Day 01

Our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel, evening free, overnight at Panama City.

Day 02

Today, we visit the Smithsonian’s Tropical Research Institute Tupper Centre and the Panama Canal’s Administration Building to admire its beautiful murals depicting the monumental labor involved in the building of the waterway. We also visit the Miraflores Locks, the first set of locks on the Pacific Ocean side of the canal and Casco Viejo, the colonial city, overnight at Panama City.

Day 03

Today, you will be taken by road to the charming town of Portobelo located on the Caribbean coast. Portobelo was part of a fascinating pirate history. You will learn about Henry Morgan, the exploits and the way he stole silver and gold. Later in the afternoon you will be taken back to Panama City by train. It will be an ocean-to-ocean ride that runs parallel to the Panama Canal, and offers stunning views of a masterpiece of engineering. The railroad passes through the water over causeways that connect small islands in the artificial lake, with amazing views. You will have the chance to catch a glimpse of monkeys, crocodiles and toucans during the way, we will return to the hotel late afternoon, overnight at Panama City.

Day 04

Today you will submerge into the Panamanian history. You will experience a partial transit of the extraordinary Panama Canal. Observe huge cargo ships, while you get information about the Canal history, operation and the current expansion process. Lunch will be served on the ship, return to the hotel midafternoon, overnight at Panama City.

Day 05

Early morning, you will be transferred to the Albrook airport in Panama City for your domestic flight to David. On arrival, our representative will take you up to Boquete, a small village tucked into the green mountain highlands of Panama, in western-most Chiriquí Province, at an altitude of 1,200 metres above sea level, Boquete offers great climate and a beautiful natural setting, we will return to David for overnight.

Day 06

Today, is free to relax or to join an optional tour: coffee plantation tour, Cloud Forest or volcano hike in the area, overnight at David.

Day 07

Today, we will drive from David to Isla Colon on the beautiful Bocas del Toro archipelago, we will decent from the highlands down to the Caribbean coast in about 5 hours, a great chance to admire the breathtaking scenery, to finish today’s journey with a boat ride to Bocas del Toro island, arriving midafternoon, overnight at Bocas del Toro.

Day 08

Spend a free day at leisure in Bocas del Toro or take an optional tour: natural reserve hiking, dolphin watching, snorkeling or simply relax at the beach.

Day 09

In the morning you will take a local flight from Bocas del Toro back to Panama City, upon arrival you will be driven to your hotel, enjoy an afternoon tour of the city, overnight at Panama City.

Day 10

At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your international departure flight.


Accommodations in double occupancy, breakfast daily, domestic flight Panama City - David and Bocas del Toro - Panama City, private ground transportation with english speaking driver/guide, airport transfers, sightseeing tours listed with admissions, local guides and hotel taxes.

Not included: any meals not mentioned as included, airport taxes, gratuities to guides, drivers, porters or waiters and expenses of personal nature.
